ATLAS 0941 High Impedance Analyser

ATLAS 0941 High Frequency Impedance Analyser

ATLAS 0941 HFIA Impedance Analyser is the device dedicated for high impedance spectroscopy of technical objects modelled by multi-element two terminal networks. The impedance absolute value |Zx| is measured in range from 0,1 Ohm up to 100 MOhm, in a wide frequency range from very low 10 µHz up to 10 MHz.

ATLAS 0941 HIA meets the requirements to perform impedance measurements of coated speciments according to PN EN ISO 16773:2007 standard. This standard is valid in Poland since 25.05.2007.

Particularly, the analyser is designed for measurement of impedance spectrums of elements and circuits, in particular for monitoring and diagnostics of performance of anticorrosion coatings on the objects in laboratory conditions and directly in field.
The shape of the spectrum of the impedance and its values are parameters which describe properties of materials and coatings. The analysis of the impedance spectrum gives information about properties of such objects like metals, dielectrics, batteries and cells, composites, polymers, mixtures of concrete, ceramics, semiconductors and many others.

More often the impedance spectroscopy is used in biology and medicine where is applicable to examinations of plants and animals physiology, in the processes of organs transplantation, dermatological studies and in detection of cancers.

The ATLAS 0941 HIA analyser has been made in form of virtual instrument. The analyser consists of small-dimension measurement module, which is connected to PC via USB interface.

Computer is used to program parameters of the measurement experiment and to collect measurement results. In the lab as well as in the field, the computer is able to trace the measurement and visualise in real time the received results. The results stored in the computer memory can be transferred to other graphical and analysis software.

DEVICE FUNCTION:

  • Impedance spectroscopy of anticorrosion coatings on grounded objects directly in field (for example: bridge, viaduct, pipeline) by two-terminal and four-terminal measurement probe with or without reference electrode.
  • Impedance spectroscopy of the ungrounded objects in laboratory conditions, by three-terminal measurement probe with installed reference electrode as well as without installed reference electrode.
  • Possibility of measurement of several measurement series. The results can be averaging.
  • Possibility of automatic compensation EMF (electromotive force) of electrochemical cell.
